April 04 – THE VEITH RICARDO PROJECT – STORM WARNING – Review by Officer Nice

Vincent Veith? Never heard a word about this man. Juan Ricardo? This man I know very good because I am actually a fan of this vocalist. The first time I heard this guy singing was with the American band Ritual. “Trials Of Torment” can be labeled as a ‘classic one’ in the US Power Metal scene and ever since I tried to find anything from this vocalist. So meanwhile I have Attaxe, Sunless Sky, Wretch, Dark Arena, Blind Cross and a few other things in my collection. I saw the man on stage 1 time, with Ritual and believe me, he is as good on stage as he is on his albums.

Anyway, the fact he was a member of this project was the only reason to purchase this one and believe me I have no regrets that I did spend my money on this CD. I’ve been digging information about Vincent Veith and I found out I know him from Dark Arena, which was a very Progressive Metal band. So, I could expect this one to be progressive too and it really is. But this album is more varied and also beholds elements of Hard Rock, sometimes even a bit Blues and elements of just good old Rock and AOR. READ MORE…
