February 11 – DIGGETH – GRINGOS GALACTICOS (No Dust Records) – Review by Stefan

Let’s take a moment to shine the spotlight on a band from Dinxperlo-Netherlands, founded in 2004. This trio started as a one-gig project but decided to continue as a full-fledged band. The group consists of ex-members of Wicked Mystic and Non Divine, with “Gringos Galacticos” (2019) they deliver their third full length effort, it has become a very worthy product ! Until recently I was in the dark about the existence of Diggeth, I heard from a good friend (Nico ‘Mr. Hell’ De Vreese) that this was a band that was doing very well, I looked up some songs and indeed, the sound of Diggeth could charm me. Their older songs, that I started looking up on the internet, were also able to grab my attention but with the added to the tracklist of “Gringos Galacticos” they really do take the main prize ! I’ve heard that they have already shared the stage with giants such as Exodus, Michael Schenker and Megadeth… meanwhile I know why ! It is said that Diggeth is also a great live act, ripping the stage to shreds. They’ve already played a few times on Belgian soil and hearsay from a good source it was a pleasant and overwhelming experience to see these guys at work. Even fans with different musical priorities felt drawn to the heavy wall of sound by Diggeth ! READ MORE…
