January 05 – Review by Officer Nice – DARK QUARTERER – POMPEI (Cruz Del Sur / Sonic Rendezvous)

2020 is over, finally! Not that we’re out of troubles but at least I could draw a line under some personal issues I had to deal with in this terrible year. On the other hand, musical wise, 2020 was a very great year and we are enriched by some goodies that old and new bands delivered us. You should admit that, almost in every genre, some highlights came our way. I suppose the musicians had lots of time, that makes it at least also promising for 2021. You don’t hear me say the music made the world better but in my case it helped me through the shit this year had in mind for us.

This band is heading from Italy and is not as old as the history of the Vesuvius, but they’re together since 1980 and that’s also a long time. You don’t hear me say the band became important in all this time but with this release they will please fans of this kind of Progressive and technical Epic Metal. This is a special band and I suppose fans of these guys knows what to expect. READ MORE…
